Taos is only 11 miles away and the Taos Ski Valley and Red River only 30 minutes away. Taos Ski Valley reminds us of the Swiss/French/Austrian founders roots blended with the traditions and customs of the local friendly and Pueblo Indian cultures. Being the home of extreme skiing, this is just not a resort for experts, with many beginner and intermediate runs. The ski school is one of the nations best. It also has an excellent childrens day care and ski facility, both skiers and snowboarders are welcome. Taos is home to more than twenty sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The Taos Pueblo has been occupied for nearly a millennium and is considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited community in the Unites States. The Taos Pueblo was added as an Unesco World Heritage Site in 1992 as one of the most significant historical cultural landmarks in the world; Visit Our Website.
